Russia-Ukraine War. A reality that shakes the world.

The world has been shaken again for months. The idea of war has always been present and yet we saw it as remote possibilities. But once again the facts have shown how wrong we have been. On February 24 of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced to the world a "special military operation" aimed at the forced invasion of Ukrainian territory, and thus began one of the episodes with more uncertainty, suffering and death of recent times. Europe has not yet recovered from the humanitarian crisis it has been plunged into as a result of Covid-19, and is again facing a large-scale crisis, in which thousands of lives have been lost, millions in assets lost and millions of people have been displaced losing their homes and livelihoods.

But not only the European continent suffers the consequences of the war between Russia and Ukraine, there are also numerous economic and social implications that have spread to all countries in the world, we can take as an example the inflation that has been present in all regions and that is currently affecting all social lines, those mainly affected being the most vulnerable groups.

Perhaps many people think that war is far from our reality, that they do not affect us directly and we should not suffer any kind of consequence since the epicenter of this conflict is in European countries, but one of the lessons that the Covid-19 pandemic left us is that in the face of adversity we must strengthen our ties as a society, let us not forget that there is also a possibility that our country will face large-scale military invasions at some point, and this is the time to ask ourselves, Are we prepared to face a war like that of Russia and Ukraine socially?
